(1) Measure the resistance of the contact: use the resistance of the multimeter to measure the resistance of the normally closed contact and the moving point, and the resistance value should be 0; The resistance between the normally open contact and the moving point is infinite. From this, it is possible to distinguish which is a normally closed contact and which is normally open.
(2) Measuring coil resistance: The resistance of the relay coil can be measured with the multimeter R×10 gear, so as to judge whether the coil has an open circuit.
(3) Measure the pick-up voltage and pick-up current: use the adjustable regulated power supply and ammeter to input a set of voltages to the relay, and connect the ammeter in the power supply circuit for monitoring. Slowly increase the power supply voltage, and when you hear the sound of relay pick-up, record the pick-up voltage and pick-up current. To be accurate, you can try averaging multiple times.
(4) Measure the release voltage and release current: it is also a connection test like the above, when the relay is engaged, and then gradually reduce the power supply voltage, when the relay is released again, write down the voltage and current at this time, and you can also try many times to obtain the average release voltage and release current. Under normal circumstances, the release voltage of the relay is 10%-50% of the pick-up voltage, if the release voltage is (less than 1/10 of the pick-up voltage), it can not be used normally, which will pose a threat to the stability of the circuit and make the work unreliable.

Maintenance method of Germany PILZ Peel magnetic relay
Maintenance method:
1. When selecting the solid-state relay used in the printed circuit board with small current specifications, because the lead terminal is made of high thermal conductivity material, the soldering should be carried out under the condition that the temperature is less than 250 °C and the time is less than 10S.

Peel magnetic relays – what is the difference between a relay and a contactor
1. The effect is not the same:
The primary effect of the relay is: signal detection, transmission, conversion or disposal, the circuit current it is on and off is generally small, and it is generally used in the control circuit to control weak signals.
The primary effect of the contactor is to turn on or off the main circuit. Host...

Pilz conducts brake tests on freight trains
The technology and business of rail freight have remained the same for decades. Until now, in order to test the brakes of freight trains, the crew would walk around the entire train and hit each axle with a special hammer to check the proper operation of the braking system. Rail transport systems in Austria ...

Peel magnetic relay – the difference between a transistor and a relay output PLC
1. The overload capacity of the transistor is less than the overload capacity of the relay
In general, in the case of a large inrush current (e.g., bulbs, inductive loads, etc.), the transistor overload capability is smaller, and more derating is required.
2. Under the condition of rated operation, the relay has the number of actions ...
