1. Data backup
For the data that needs to be archived for a long time, you can back up the historical trend data to the mobile hard disk, and then turn off the Windows-based operating system (pay attention to saving) and record the internal parameters of the controller.
2. Turn off the power
After the data backup is completed, the operation of pulling the brake should be performed to close the protection switch of each subordinate controller first, and the order is reversed when the main switch is disconnected and powered on. It is best to add a safety lock to prevent someone from accidentally sending power and causing an accident.
3. Appearance and environmental inspection
Check whether the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment are reasonable, whether there is a large amount of dust on the components, test the insulation of the system, and use the shake meter to test the insulation of the equipment.
4. Control cabinet cleaning
Before cleaning, it is best to cover the electronic components with heat dissipation holes such as PLC and inverter to prevent dust from entering and affecting the work of components. Only use a vacuum cleaner, not compressed air, which will blow dust and water vapor into the components, causing a short circuit.
5. Check whether each line is loose
Be sure to check the looseness of the line, once the line is loose, the controller will not work normally because of the poor contact, and it is very easy to burn out the line.
6. Component inspection
Check whether each component is working normally, and replace it in time if damaged.

Hollysys PLC - several common types of PLC control systems
1. Stand-alone control system
The stand-alone control system is controlled by one PLC to control one device or one simple production line, as shown in Figure 7-1. The composition of the stand-alone control system is simple, the number of I/O points required is less, the storage capacity is small, and when the model of PLC is selected, whether there is a communication network at present.

Hollysys DCS - Introduction to DCS grounding classification
In general, DCS control systems require two types of grounding: protective ground and working ground (logical, shielded, etc.). For systems equipped with safety barrier explosion protection measures, such as those used in the chemical industry, intrinsically safe premises are also required.
2.1 Protected areas (CG, Cabinet Grounding...)

Hollysys DCS – the steps for DCS to properly power off and power on
DCS is properly blacked out
When the DCS needs to be powered off for maintenance due to overhaul or other reasons, we often directly power off the DCS, but sometimes this non-standard operation will bring serious consequences, such as configuration loss, PID parameter loss, etc. So there is a need for blackouts and re-on...
