Delta's C2000 inverter has evolved completely

For those who are familiar with Delta's automation, they know that Delta's inverters have two main series: "M300" and "C2000".

"Compact inverter M300 series": This series has been introduced many times before, including MS300 (standard general-purpose type), MH300 (high function), ME300 (economical type), its power range is 0.2-75KW. With the full withdrawal of the white shell machine represented by the M series in September this year, the M300 series has also become Delta's leading model in the field of industrial machinery.

As a "standard inverter, the C2000 series" covers a complete power segment of small, medium and large, and the C2000 series is undoubtedly a more suitable choice when the demand for higher power and greater torque is required.

                               Delta's C2000 inverter has evolved completely

1. C clan inverter

Since its launch in 2010, the C2000 inverter has gained many die-hard fans among its customers and partners. In 2019, Delta launched the "C2000+ inverter" on its basis, which integrates the advantages of the C clan: modular design, common DC bus, synchronous asynchronous motor dual-machine integrated control, multi-purpose monitoring software, and strong panel function, etc., resulting in the current function of the C clan as a strong inverter.

Second, overload can be greatly improved

The significant enhancement of overload ability is one of the key functions of C2000+***. This is also one of the most important goals of the standard inverter in the market. Originally, the Delta C2000 could complete 120% load in 60 seconds and 150% load in 3 seconds under the standard form. In the heavy-duty mode, it can be loaded at 150% for 60 seconds, and at 180% for 3 seconds. This is now beyond the function of the European and American mainstream general-purpose inverters. However, in practice, there will still be some use cases that require an expanded level of selection.

Therefore, the C2000+ once again strengthens this function, and the standard form can complete the load of 150% for 60 seconds, and the load of 180% for 3 seconds; In the SHD form, it reaches 150% for 60 seconds and 200% for 3 seconds. Even in occupations with high requirements for instantaneous loads, such as injection molding and punch presses, the C2000+ can easily cope with excellent overload ability and high engine torque without the need to expand the equipment by one gear.

The power range of the 460V model of C2000+ has been broadened from the original 0.75KW-450KW to a high 560KW, with high power and torque, with the characteristic functions of different occupations such as rubber and plastic, construction, metal processing, and transfer machinery, which also allows C2000+ to meet the needs of most occupations.

Third, protection can be significantly strengthened

Another major change in the C2000+ is the improvement of overall protection.

First of all, the C2000+ will increase the original IP51 cooling fan of the C2000 to IP55 level, which not only further strengthens the heat dissipation function, but also improves the protection of dust, oil mist, salt spray, etc. by 3-30 times. The use of larger-pitched polished fins further reduces the build-up of dust lint. Combined with the classic device method of extending the heat dissipation backplate to the outside of the cabinet, the heat dissipation and protection effect are more and more excellent.

Together, the C2000+ adopts a reinforced PCB board coating, which conforms to the international standard IEC60721-3-3class 3C3 specification. It can maintain electronic components from the hazards of corrosive environmental gases, and in addition to improving the protection of C2000+, it also broadens its use in harsh environments and special scenarios such as sewage treatment.

Fourth, high-speed network communication is expanded

The ability of high-speed network communication is also a must for today's inverter equipment.

C2000 originally supports CANopen, Modbus TCP, EtherNET/IP, DeviceNET, PROFIBUS and other communication protocols, while C2000+ adds EtherCAT and PROFINET, making data transmission and control faster and more efficient, and more closely cooperating with the Internet of Things system.

Fifth, the operation is fast and humane

In terms of operation and use, the C2000+ follows the usual speed and humanization of Delta's C clan.

The visual LCD operation panel, combined with the boot wizard function, allows the operator to easily complete the parameter setting. The C2000+ occupation parameter combination function allows you to directly select different occupations to use and read the parameters, which greatly simplifies the operation process. The parameter replication function makes batch debugging extremely easy. In addition, Delta's signature multi-language function has also brought convenience to many multinational customers.
