Emerson's Fisher ™ Kaft Hex Valve Strict working valve trimming reduces or eliminates cavitation to improve rotary valve performance and extend service life. The Fisher Vee-Ball rotary™ control valve is now available with the Cavertro ™ Hex Valve anti-cavitation trim to reduce or eliminate vibrations caused by cavitation. The Carvertlo Hex Trim option provides better performance in rigorous service applications while maintaining the valve's efficiency, thereby improving safety.

Cavitation is the formation and collapse of bubbles (cavities) in the flow of liquids caused by changes in pressure and velocity. There are three main negative effects of uncontrolled cavitation of control valves: excessive vibration, equipment damage, and deterioration of flow control. Vibration can damage equipment and shorten its service life. When equipment is damaged, the flow cannot be properly controlled, which adversely affects the availability, efficiency, and output of the equipment. If left unchecked, excessive vibration can create unsafe working conditions. Cavitatello hex anti-cavitation trimming dramatically reduces vibration and reduces or eliminates cavitation to improve plant safety. The Cavitelo hexagonal decoration is available on Fisher. V150, V200 and V300 rotary control valves. After making *** minor modifications to the valve body, it can be easily installed into a previously installed Vee-ball valve. The Vee-Ball Valves are available in sizes NPS 4 to 12 and provide high capacity gases, vapors and liquids. To meet specific application requirements, a variety of metal and soft ball sealing materials are available. The Cavitatello hex trim does not affect valve shut-off or valve temperature limits, nor does it affect the main sphere/seal interface.
