(1) Remove the burrs from each part. The sharp edge of the gear is poured with natural oil stone, but not into a fillet. The parts after flat grinding should be demagnetized, and all parts should be carefully cleaned with kerosene before they can be put into assembly.

(2) Measure and ensure the axial clearance during assembly: the thickness of the axial clearance pump body of Rexroth gear oil pump is the width of the gear, which is generally guaranteed to be 0.02-0.03mm, and the relevant dimensions and accuracy of other components are measured at the same time.

(3) When assembling, some Rexroth gear oil pumps have positioning pin holes. For gear oil pumps without locating holes, during assembly, finger each screw diagonally while rotating the fox shaft. If there is no variation in severity, tighten a few mounting screws completely. For gear oil pumps with locating holes, the pin holes are mainly in the process of part machining, so there is no positioning datum during the assembly process, and finally equipped with two pin holes to enter the dowel pins.

(4) Pay attention to the parts that are easy to be reversed, and do not install them in the wrong direction. In particular, it is necessary to confirm whether it is a forward or reverse pump.

(5) The author opposes adding a paper pad between the pump body and the pump cover to solve the leakage problem. A layer of paper is at least 0.06-0.1mm thick, which will seriously affect the axial clearance, increase internal leakage, and in serious cases, the gear oil pump cannot be oiled.

(6) If conditions permit, the gear oil pump can be tested on the bench according to JB/T701-193 and other standards, and then installed on the main engine.
