When the pressure gauge is connected to the pipeline, a bend should be added between the pressure gauge and the pipe connection. Why is that? What does this do? Let's take a look!
This thing that connects the pressure gauge and the pipe is the pressure gauge bend (also referred to as the gauge bend), which is officially called the buffer pipe. It is used to connect the fittings between the pressure gauge and the equipment or pipeline measured by the pressure gauge, and is used to buffer the instantaneous impact of the measured medium on the pressure gauge spring tube, which can well protect the mechanical structure of the digital indicator or the pressure sensor from damage and prolong the service life.
There are many kinds of tubes, and it is necessary to choose buffer tubes of different materials to ensure the accuracy of measurement and the normal operation of the measurement system.
The scientific name of this elbow is called condenser pipe or siphon pipe, according to the "HG/T20581-2012" version of the HK03 pressure / differential pressure measuring instrument pipeline connection diagram 6.4 installation instructions in the installation instructions "For steam and other condenseable hot gases, and when the medium temperature exceeds 60 °C, the installation diagram with a condenser pipe (or siphon) should be selected for the pressure gauge installed in situ, the purpose of which is to passivate the gas medium to prevent damage to the instrument."
Of course, the "SH/T3104" instrument installation design specification also has a similar description.
There are two forms of pressure gauge bends: one is an annular bend and the other is a U-bend
The purpose of the pressure gauge bend is to protect the transmission mechanism inside the gauge from the damage of the medium temperature and the corrosiveness of the medium. Usually if the medium has a certain corrosiveness, a pressure gauge bend must be added, and when the temperature of the medium is greater than 60 °C, a pressure gauge bend must be added. If the pressure gauge is installed on a clean drinking water system, it does not need to be installed.
It also has the effect of reducing vibration and impact, and also plays a certain role in heat dissipation for higher temperature mediums, so as to protect the pressure gauge and reduce the temperature influence error of the pressure gauge. The damping screws at the orifice of some pressure gauge joints play a throttling buffer effect by reducing the flow area, which is mainly useful for the medium pressure pulse.

Fisher Fisher - Hazards and Protection of Abnormal Pressure Boost in the Cavity of Gate Valves
Gate valves usually have single ram, double ram, wedge, parallel and other structural designs, among which wedge double ram (Z42, Z62 series) and wedge elastic ram (Z40, Z60 series) are widely used, the former when the gate is closed, the gate automatically fits the valve seats on both sides, and automatically compensates the processing position of the wedge angle.

Fisher – Fisher – Valve positioner hardware system design
The system hardware design of the valve positioner needs to reduce the interference between the analog ground and the digital ground, and at the same time make full use of the internal space of the positioner housing to divide the hardware system into two parts: the main control board and the interface board.
Among them, the main control board of the valve positioner includes a single-chip microcomputer Z small system and a human-computer interaction model.
