FISHER Locator is a division of Emerson Electric Company, a Fortune 500 United States. In 1992, Emerson acquired Fisher and merged with Rosemount, another world leader in the field of process instrumentation, to form Fisher-Rosemount to better meet the needs of users for the completion of the application range and the corresponding process control. In April 2001, Fisher-Rosemount changed its name to Emerson Process Management and is a world leader in metallurgy, chemicals, oil and gas, pulp and paper, power, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industrial production, process and distribution automation.

The DVC6000 series of FISHER positioners are instruments that can communicate and convert electrical signals into pneumatic signals based on microprocessors. In addition to the traditional function of converting electrical signals into pneumatic signals, the DVC6000 FISHER positioners can also be used with the HART communication protocol.

Information that is critical to the operation of the process. This function can be implemented near the valve, at the field junction box with the Model 375 communicator, in the control room with a personal computer or with a system console. With the HART communication protocol, information can be integrated into the control system or collected on a single loop basis. The DVC6000 series of FISHER positioners can be used with single or double acting actuators. The valve positioner receives feedback on the position of the valve stroke as well as the air supply pressure and the pneumatic pressure of the actuator. This allows the instrument to diagnose not only itself, but also the valves and actuators it is installed on. The DVC2000 series FISHER positioners are simple to use, compact in structure and easy to install. It converts the 4-20mA input signal into a barometric output signal and is used to drive the actuator of the control valve. The screen is located inside the protective cover, so it is not affected by the environment. This LCD interface supports multiple languages, including German, French, Italy, Spain, Chinese, Japanese, and English. The DVC2000 series of FISHER positioners are designed with a two-stage positioner. The preamplifier provides high static gain in response to small changes in the input signal (0.125% or less). The power amplifier delivers enough air to the actuator to achieve optimal dynamic performance with minimal steady-state air consumption.

Wiring is economical because the DVC6000 series FISHER positioners are powered by a 2-wire 4-20mA circuit. The conditions are prepared for the cost-effective replacement of existing analogue gauges. The 2-wire design of the DVC6000 series FISHER positioners avoids the costly separation of power and signal lines.

The high-performance, non-contact valve position feedback system eliminates direct contact between the stem and the positioner. In this way, there is no wear and tear of the parts, so the operating life is maximized. In addition, the absence of connecting rods and couplings reduces the number of mounting parts and the complexity of installation. Since the feedback parts remain on the actuator pushrod, the replacement and repair of the positioner is greatly simplified. Designed to meet intrinsically safe and spark-free requirements, the instrument is small in size, excellent in performance, and has upgradeable features.
