Advantech, October 2021 – Advantech, a global brand provider of industrial computing channels, has launched the TPC-B610 series as a new member of its modular TPC host module. The TPC-B610 series is Advantech's new industrial panel PC all-in-one PCP, which supports Intel's 10th Gen desktop CPUs and features 6 USB ports, 1 PCIe x16 expansion port, 1 PCIe x4 expansion port, and 2 M.2 ports (NVMe and 5G). Due to its special modular design, the TPC-B610 can be matched with 6 standard display modules, ranging from 15" to 23.8", capacitive or resistive contact forms. The latest iBMC features provide reliable out-of-band device handling, and the TPC-B610 adds a TPM 2.0 module to ensure system security. The TPC-B610 is available in two versions, both of which support 10th generation Intel CPUs and one PCIe x16, and the TPC-B610W-A00A has more PCIex4, NVMe, RAID 0/1, and ECC than the TPC-B610H-A00A. The TPC-B610 series shows what the HMI of the future should look like, putting the Industry 4.0 HMI system at your fingertips.
Flexible modular design with a variety of display options
The modular design of the TPC-B610 host module allows it to be paired with 6 different capacitor or display modules with IP66 front panel protection ratings, in sizes of 15", 15.6", 17", 18.5", 21.5", and 23.8". Among them, 15.6", 21.5" and 23.8", available in FHD resolution, represent a highly flexible HMI system suitable for a variety of applications. TPM 2.0 encrypts drives and SSDs to protect confidential data, and supports Win 11 and RAID 0/1, as well as Advantech's new out-of-band management solution, a smart board management controller called iBMC, which can reduce system downtime through out-of-band processing and promise long-distance power control in the event of an operating system failure.

The TPC-B610's two PCIe slots will benefit industries such as food and beverage, which require the highest quality control during processing and fabrication. PoE cameras play a crucial role in quality assurance standards, and the TPC-B610 can be easily expanded to complete PoE cards because of the two PCIe slots and the multi-core processor function, which can use up to 8 cameras together.
Data and drawing calculations
With PCIe x16, PCIe x4, M.2 2280 NVMe slots, users can take full advantage of the graphics card (75 w) and M.2 2280 SSD NVMe to create an advanced HMI system with robust drawing and drawing capabilities, together with the ability to read/write accurately and quickly through NVMe SSDs. When needed, the data can also be transmitted through the M.2 4G/5G module to provide large data volume wireless data transmission over long distances and in the field.
Facial recognition

Regarding the support of the embedded operating system, the TPC-B610 has Windows Microsoft 10 LTSC and Advantech Linux can be selected. With TPM 2.0 included, the latest Windows 11 operating system is also supported. In terms of application, Advantech's VisionNavi provides a marginal solution channel for machine vision that is suitable for defect detection. WebAccess/SCADA and WebAccess/HMINavi are versatile software tools for the complete layout of SCADA and HMI architectures, setting up an Industry 4.0 factory and industrial environment, field and long-distance control functions.
In terms of hardware expansion, the nVidia GTX-1650 or AMD-9260 are installed on the final graphics processing, which can truly improve the power of 3D graphics production and artificial intelligence. In addition, for the use of PoE cameras for production line visual inspection, Advantech's PCIe-1674 or PCIe-1182 4-port/2-port PCI Express GigE vision capture card can be used together through two PCIe slots to support up to 8 PoE cameras.
