In March 2023, Advantech, a provider of industrial computing platforms, announced the launch of the TPC-300-EHL series of industrial panel PCs, which are powered by Intel's Elkhart Lake processors for IoT edge computing platforms, providing users in the IoT industry with high-performance and low-power products.
The TPC-300-EHL series uses Intel ATOM 6425E and Intel CELERON J6412 low-power processors, which are more suitable for IoT and edge computing platforms, and deliver 1.7x better single-threaded performance, 1.5x better multi-threaded workloads, and 2x better graphics performance than Gen 1. At the same time, the TPC-300 series also provides a variety of processors with different specifications such as Core i3-8145UE, Core i5-8365UE, and Core i7-8665UE for users to choose from in different scenarios.
The TPC-300-EHL series screen is a full HD pure flat design, which is more suitable for image processing, visual imaging and data visualization. And the IP66-rated front panel protects against water and dust. At the same time, the product provides 12.1", 15", 23.8" multi-size panels for users to choose, and will launch 7", 10.1", 17" and other sizes within the year, as well as 4:3 5-way resistors and 16:9 capacitive screen touch products.
With a fanless, compact design, it supports two types of storage – M.2 (B-key) SATA and 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD for improved computing performance. In addition to three USB 3.2, one USB 2.0, one RS-232, and one RS-232/422/485 port, the TPC-300-EHL series features an M.2 (B-key) connector for integrated 5G modules, as well as mPCIe slots for 5G/GPS/GPRS/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. In addition, the series supports VESA, desktop and flush mounting, making it easy to install and flexibly deploy in a variety of industrial environments.
To improve management, the TPC-300-EHL series supports Advantech's Advantech Industrial Cloud Platform/DeviceOn, WebAccess/SCADA, and WebAccess/HMI software, which support data visualization, device monitoring, and centralized remote management. The TPC-300-EHL series equipment can also be bundled with machine vision software to achieve edge visualization for factory inspection applications, intelligent quality inspection, and promote the digital transformation and upgrading of the Industrial Internet of Things.

The TPC-300-EHL series is powered by a low-power Intel® ATOM™ x6425E 2.00 GHz quad-core/CELERON® J6412 2.00 GHz quad-core processor. The new generation of industrial panel PCs supports up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory for further performance improvements, while M.2 (B-key) SATA and 2.5-inch SATA SSD/HDD support for high-speed data processing and storage.
In addition, to ensure reliable operation in harsh industrial environments, the TPC-300-EHL series industrial panel PCs feature a compact, fanless design and support a wide operating temperature range (-20 – 60°C/-4 – 140°F), including grounding and enclosure isolation to prevent damage caused by electrical faults or power fluctuations. And it has a real 5-wire resistive touch screen, IP66 protection level front panel, and die-cast aluminum alloy front bezel to meet the diverse needs of industrial automation applications in different scenarios.

The TPC-300-EHL series is easily expandable, offering a full-size USB-enabled mini PCIe slot for Advantech's PCIe interface with iDoor technology to provide additional I/O ports, isolated digital I/O, fieldbus protocols, MRAM, and 5G/GPS/GPRS/Wi-Fi communication capabilities. Superior mobile connectivity that ensures real-time communication and high-speed data transmission. It supports both VESA, desktop and embedded installations, meeting the needs of flexible deployment in industrial sites.
