Fisher Fisher - Adjustment method for valve positioner pneumatic control valves

Fisher valve positioners use an I/P electrical converter that converts an electrical signal into a gas signal. So what do we need to pay attention to during the conversion process? How do I make the switch? Here's how it goes.

The I/P electrical converter of Fisher valve positioner is made of air source through the constant throttle hole to the nozzle, when the driving signal of the electronic module is reduced, the armature/baffle is kept away from the nozzle through the electromagnetic coil, so that the back pressure is reduced, and the output of the pneumatic amplifier is reduced; When the driving signal of the electronic module increases, the driving signal attracts the armature action, controls the coil of the I/P converter, makes the armature drive the baffle to bring it close to the nozzle, causes the back pressure of the nozzle to increase, that is, the air pressure signal sent to the pneumatic amplifier increases, and then the output air pressure of the valve positioner increases.

Note (1): It is easy to block the nozzle when the air source is not clean. (2): Do not directly dial the baffle when checking the I/P on site, which is easy to cause deformation and lead to a decrease in accuracy.

Adjustment method of Fisher valve positioner pneumatic control valve:

1. a loose nut; 2. Adjust the gain adjustment screw, adjust it counterclockwise to screw out the adjustment screw, the gain is reduced, the flow amplification is reduced, and the stability is increased; Adjust clockwise to screw the adjusting screws in, gain increases, flow amplification increases, and stability decreases. It should be noted during operation: if there is too much unscrewing and the gain is too small, it will cause the valve to move slowly and cannot meet the quick-opening requirements of the anti-surge valve; Too much screwing, large gain, fast response, but poor stability, may cause the anti-surge valve to oscillate.
