SHANGHAI, China, Jan. 14, 2021 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the release of a new electronic air purifier (EAC) with UV (ultraviolet) system and an upgraded return air outlet electronic air purifier to improve indoor air quality in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools and other public places. The new product launch will further expand Honeywell's portfolio of holistic healthy buildings. Honeywell UV electronic air purifiers use ultraviolet light and electrostatic precipitator technology to remove impurities from the air, filter and disinfect without significantly obstructing air circulation. In addition, the upgraded return air outlet electronic air purifier adopts a new dust collection module design, which has higher air purification efficiency and lower wind resistance, effectively reducing the impact on air conditioning air volume, resulting in better indoor air quality and occupant experience.

Air quality is a key indicator of a building's health, which is related to the health and productivity of its occupants, the energy efficiency of its buildings, and the overall value of its property. The new product has the characteristics of low wind resistance and high efficiency, which can minimize the impact on the air volume of the fan coil unit and achieve higher purification efficiency while ensuring the cooling and heating effect of the air conditioner. In addition, the product is also designed with later maintenance in mind, making it easier to clean.
