The external terminals of the inverter, RH, RM, RL, are speed control terminals. Through the combination of these terminals, three-speed and seven-speed control can be completed. In addition, the other terminals can be redefined, and the fifteen-speed speed can be controlled.
1. Three-stage speed operation
The external terminals RH, RM, RL are the three-speed operating end of the inverter, which controls the speed of the motor. After writing the PLC program to control the output signal, and then the PLC output signal is used to control the RH, RM, RL terminals of the inverter or directly control the separate on-off of the three speed control terminals, and the high, medium and low speed control of the motor can be completed accordingly. The frequencies of the three speeds are set by the parameters Pr.4, Pr.5 and Pr.6 respectively.
2. Seven-stage speed operation
Because the speed grades are arranged in binary order, the seven-speed operation of the motor is completed through the combination of on-off of the three speed ends of the inverter.
3. Fifteen-stage speed operation
The fifteen-speed operation can be completed by the combination of on-off of the RH, RM, RL and REX terminals. The parameters of the 8-15 speed frequencies are set accordingly by Pr.232-Pr.239.
3. Use the inverter to complete the five-speed control of the motor
1. Design ideas
After writing the PLC program, the output signal obtained by its operation is input to the corresponding external speed control terminal of the inverter, that is, the combination of STF and RL, RM and RL terminals of the inverter is controlled by the PLC to complete the five-stage speed control of the motor.

Input: X0: abort button; X1: Start button; X2: running speed 3; X3: running speed 4; X4: Running speed 5. 3. The setting of inverter parameters
Multi-speed frequency parameter setting: 1 speed: Pr.4=20HZ, 2 speed: Pr.5=30HZ, 3 speed: Pr.6=25HZ, 4 speed: Pr.24=40HZ, Pr.25=45HZ. Other parameters such as upper and lower limit frequency, acceleration and deceleration time should also be set accordingly, and they will not be written out one by one here.
4. Wiring of the multi-speed operation system of the motor
Connect the PLC output terminals Y0, Y1, Y2 and Y3 to the STF, RL, RM and RH terminals of the inverter. Fig. 4 is the wiring diagram of the system with multi-stage speed operation.
