Honeywell Common Process Pressure Transducers Type Z

Model Z pressure sensors are manufactured from 17-4 PH stainless steel with wetted materials that can withstand pressures up to 2,000 psi and 15-5 PH stainless steel with wetted materials that can withstand pressures of 2,000 psi or more. These pressure sensors are specifically designed for industrial applications where high accuracy and measurement stability are required. The pressure range is from 0.5 psi to 60,000 psi. They utilize a complete four-legged 350 ohm strain gauge bridge.

Model Z has a variety of options for extended temperature operation, electrical terminals, wetted materials, and high-level outputs, including 5 Vdc or 10 Vdc and 4 mA to 20 mA. Most high-level output models have internal shunt calibration circuitry as standard to facilitate the setup of the sensor into the data system. An optional internal graphical calibration chip provides calibration information for the Type SC 4- or -12 circuit robot electronic indicator.

Model Z is a strain gauge transducer. The diaphragm of this design is based on atmospheric pressure and provides a stable zero position. The absolute model Z has an all-welded vacuum reference chamber to ensure long-term stability.
