Deploying the Honeywell ED40 high-performance 2D decoder board in an OEM solution is like stepping on the gas pedal and can dramatically accelerate speed. The ED407's high-speed USB 2.0 interface speeds up barcode data transfer and enables other functions, including high-speed video and image transfer. The result: increased end-user productivity and satisfaction. A variety of hardware configurations are available. The ED40 decoder board can be used as a stand-alone engine separate from the lens, or it can be mounted with optics via a stand. We offer reference design options for more compact versions. The ED40 is compatible with Honeywell EA 2D imagers, allowing developers to get the most out of their designs. Common control protocols, configuration tools (EasySet), and pinouts developed for a wide range of EAXX engines are employed. The ED40 decoder board allows you to extend the breadth of your solution while taking advantage of the 2D imager's wide scanning distance, including: barcode scanning within arm's distance (EA11) High-performance (EA30 and EA31) megapixel document imaging (EA21) features One of the smallest decoder boards on the market: ideal for integration into ultra-thin devices.
