The common box closed bus includes the non-phase isolated common box closed bus, the phase isolation common box closed bus and the AC and DC excitation common box bus, which are used for the current transmission between the generator lead line below 100MW and the low-voltage side of the main transformer or between the low-voltage side of the transformer and the high-voltage distribution device of the unit of 75MW and above, and the common box closed bus can also be used for the AC and DC excitation circuit of the generator, the power supply of the substation and the power supply lead of the bus or other industrial and civil equipment.

The conductor of the common box closed bus is made of copper-aluminum busbar or slotted aluminum slot, with compact copper structure, convenient operation and maintenance, small workload, and IP54 protection level, which can basically eliminate the grounding problems caused by external moisture, dust and foreign objects.

The shell is made of aluminum plate, with outstanding anti-corrosion function, and avoids the additional eddy current loss caused by the steel shell, the shell is electrically connected and grounded at multiple points, eliminating the danger of personal electric shock, and does not need to set up a fence, simplifying the requirements for civil engineering, according to user needs, it can be set with heat shrinkable sleeves on the busbar, and heaters and respirators are installed in the box to strengthen the insulation

The scope of use of the split-phase shut-off bus in large power plants is: starting from the generator outlet terminal, to the main circuit bus of the low-voltage side of the main transformer, and the independent way-asking bus leads out to the branch lines of the factory high-voltage transformer and voltage transformer, lightning arrester and other equipment cabinets.

The split-phase shut-off bus is mainly used for large-scale generator sets, and the intention of using the split-phase shut-off bus in the outgoing circuit of generators of 200MW and above is:

(1) Reduce grounding problems and avoid interphase short circuits. The short-circuit current at the outlet of the large-capacity generator is very large, which brings great difficulties to the production of the circuit breaker, and the generator cannot withstand the impact of the outlet short-circuit. Due to the maintenance of the shell, the closed bus can basically eliminate external moisture. Grounding problems caused by dust and foreign objects improve the continuity of generator operation. The bus demand is closed in phase, and the occurrence of interphase short circuit is basically eliminated.

(2) Eliminate the heating of the steel structure. The leakage of the high-current bus bar causes eddy currents and circulation of the surrounding steel structure and steel bars under electromagnetic induction, resulting in high heating temperature, large loss, and structural strength. Closing the busbar and choosing shell shielding can fundamentally deal with the problem of induced heating of the steel structure.

(3) Reduce the interphase short-circuit electric power. When a large short-circuit current flows through the busbar, the short-circuit electrical force of the interphase conductor is greatly affected by the shielding effect of the shell.

(4) After the bus is closed, it is possible to choose the micro positive pressure operation mode to avoid the condensation of the insulator, improve the safety and reliability of the operation, and invent the conditions for the bus to choose the ventilation and cooling mode.

(5) The closed bus bar is produced by the factory in a complete set, the quality is relatively good, the operation and maintenance workload is small, the construction device is simple, and there is no need to set up the fence, which simplifies the structure and simplifies the requirements for the civil structure.
