An electric energy control device is used in many industries, which can play a good role in energy saving. In the process of using the inverter, there will be noise and vibration problems, so what are the causes of these problems? And how to deal with it? Let's take a closer look.

The higher harmonics that have a large impact on vibration are mainly the lower harmonic components, and have a greater influence on the PAM mode and square wave PWM mode. However, when the sine wave PWM method is adopted, the harmonic component of the lower order is small, and the influence is smaller. When the motor is driven by an inverter, the noise increases due to the increase of the higher harmonic component in the output voltage and current, and the higher harmonic flux of the air gap increases. Electromagnetic noise is characterized by an increase in noise near the natural frequency of the rotor due to the resonance of the lower harmonic components in the output of the inverter with the natural mechanical frequency of the rotor. The higher harmonic components in the inverter output resonate with the core casing bearing frames, etc., and the noise increases near the respective natural frequencies of these components. The noise generated by the inverter-driven motor, especially the harsh noise, is related to the switching frequency controlled by the PWM, especially in the low-frequency region. The use of inverter speed regulation will produce noise and vibration, which is the effect of the higher harmonic components in the output waveform of the inverter. With the change of operating frequency, the fundamental component and the higher harmonic component change in a wide range, which is likely to cause resonance with each part of the motor.

The method of dealing with vibration and noise is to reduce or eliminate vibration, and an alternating current component can be connected to the output side of the inverter to absorb the higher harmonic current component in the output current of the inverter.

When using a PAM or square wave PWM inverter, a sine wave PWM inverter can be used to reduce the ripple torque. In order to prevent the vibration of the mechanical system formed by the motor and the load, the entire system must not resonate with the electromagnetic force generated by the motor. In general, the following measures are used to suppress and reduce noise: an AC reactor is connected to the output side of the inverter. If there is a margin for electromagnetic torque, the U/f can be set smaller. If a special motor is used at a lower frequency and the noise volume is severe, the resonance with the natural frequency of the shaft system (including load) should be checked.
