1. Recognize the type of pressure sensor

(1) Electromechanical: The internal mechanical structure of the product, the pressure sensor made of springs, levers, dispatching screws, metal covers, etc., and contact module equipment, does not contain a processing circuit inside, and the output is a pressure switch mode. Generally, the threshold of action can be scheduled or set by screws; Bulkier, but cheaper and less accurate.

(2) Electronic: The pressure sensor has a ceramic or metal measurement barrier diaphragm, the barrier diaphragm is directly in contact with the detected substance, and the pressure acting on the surface of the diaphragm causes the diaphragm to undergo a fine deformation, and the sensor can sense the size of the deformation through the deformation measurement spring resistance or capacitor principle, and output the corresponding switching action or analog signal through the mechanical and circuit (bridge) equipment of the subsequent stage.

2. Recognize the type of equipment

3. Acknowledging the type of pressure measured

The main types of pressure are gauge pressure, absolute pressure, differential pressure, etc.

(1) Gauge pressure refers to the pressure based on atmospheric pressure, which is less than or greater than atmospheric pressure;

(2) Absolute pressure refers to the pressure that is based on the affirmative pressure zero and higher than the affirmative pressure zero;

(3) Differential pressure refers to the difference between two pressures.

4. Acknowledging the survey plan

In general, 80% of the measurement plan is selected according to the practical measurement pressure.

5. Recognize the power supply and output signal

Four output signal options are available, including relay output, solid-state output, and analog output (4-20mA or 0-10V). (for electronic pressure sensors) the solid-state output is divided into single-stage switch and two-stage switch.

6. Admit the maximum overload of the system

The maximum overload of the system should be less than the overload maintenance limit of the pressure sensor, otherwise it will affect the service life of the product and even damage the product.

7. Recognize the pressure interface mode

The primary includes: G1/4A (BSP), 1/4NPT, SAE7/16-20UNF, 4×G1/4 (BSP), G3/8, etc.

8. Recognize the compatibility of the measurement medium with the touch material

In some cases, the measuring medium is corrosive, and it is necessary to use materials that are compatible with the measuring medium or to carry out special processes to ensure that the transmitter is not damaged.
