Turck's compact IP67 marginal controllers or block I/O modules enable distributed control of logistics plant processes. These autonomous modules can be used via Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP via multiprotocol Ethernet and thus can also communicate with the main control system.
Machine/Marginal Controllers - Cluttered Control Mission
Distributed control replaces top-down management: Turck's TBEN-L-PLC Codesys-3 controller harmonizes the entire subsystem with its own intelligent transport system with autonomous transport modules. The modules are connected via EthernetUDP and operate intelligently using the cluster. With a wide range of interface types, the compact PLC can be integrated into different networks as a master or slave. The PLC, on the other hand, acts as a marginal controller, pre-processing the data and selectively transferring it to higher-level systems, such as MES, ERP or the cloud, where it can be used for useful condition monitoring for mobile devices.
Intelligent I/O Modules - Handle sub-functions independently
Our free ARGEE programming interface enables users to take full advantage of Turck's standard fieldbus modules and handle a wide range of small and medium-sized control tasks. For example, when used on a roller conveyor, the I/O module controls the interaction between the photoelectric sensor and the drum movement. This arrangement helps the user to prevent the material being transported from being damaged by severe impacts. If necessary, the data can be transferred directly to the MES without having to go through a higher level of PLC turnaround.
Hybrid Security Module - Independent Security Control
The safety functions can even be controlled by means of safety I/O modules located directly in the immediate vicinity of the risk area. Distributed signal processing can shorten the signal processing cycle, which is then expected to further improve the speed of delivery.
