2. In general, turning the sensitivity knob clockwise can make the green light (OUT2) on, and counterclockwise turning the red light (OUT1) on.

a. Aim the light spot at the darker (darker) color block (usually the color mark) on the measured surface, adjust the sensitivity knob so that the green light is just off, and remember the position of the knob at this time (assuming it is noted as A).

b. Then aim the light point at the lighter (bright) color block (usually the base color), adjust the sensitivity knob counterclockwise, so that the green light is just off, remember the position of the knob at this time (assuming it is recorded as B).

c. Then adjust the knob to the middle position of A and B.

Note that because the sensitivity adjustment is a multi-turn potentiometer, in addition to noting the positions of A and B, it is also necessary to remember how many turns A to B have been rotated, and then retreat to the middle number of turns from A to B.
