1. Determine the type according to the measurement object and environment
It is necessary to carefully analyze the measurement work and consider which principle of sensor to use for measurement, because even the same physical quantity can be measured by different principles. Secondly, it is necessary to consider the measuring range, size (whether there is enough space), installation method, signal type (analog or digital signal), measurement method (direct or indirect measurement), and so on.
2. Accuracy of optical fiber sensor
The accuracy level of the sensor is a very important parameter related to the accuracy of the entire system. Generally, the higher the accuracy, the more expensive the price. Therefore, when we choose, we have to consider the whole, what suits us is the best, do not blindly pursue the so-called high precision, unless we need to quantitatively measure the accurate value, we choose a sensor with a higher accuracy level.
3. Selection of sensitivity
Sensitivity is the ratio of the increment of the output to the corresponding increment of the input. We have to correctly understand this parameter, which is divided into two aspects: 1. In the linear range, the sensitivity is high, and the output signal value is relatively large, which is the advantage. 2. The sensitivity is high, and the external noise that is not related to the measurement is also easy to mix, which affects the accuracy in the processing process.
4. Linear range
The linear range is the range in which the output is proportional to the input, so we all want the wider the linear range, the better, the wider the linear range, the larger the range, and the higher the accuracy. But the linear range of any sensor is relative. We only need to estimate the measurement volume so that it is within the linear range.
5. Frequency response characteristics
During the measurement process, there is always a certain delay in the output of the sensor, which is also different from the actual value. So we want the frequency response to be a little bit faster, so that the latency is a little bit shorter. However, due to the influence of structural and other characteristics, it is difficult to increase the frequency.
6. Stability
Stability refers to the ability to maintain its performance over a long period of time. In addition to its own reasons, the factors that affect stability are mainly environmental factors. Therefore, the selected sensors should have strong environmental adaptability, and protective measures must be taken when appropriate.

Common faults of photoelectric sensors and how to deal with them
1. Photoelectric head dust masking
When the photoelectric sensor is operating, it is easy to accumulate dust or oil dirt on the receiving head, resulting in problems such as insensitive sensor response, false triggering or non-triggering, and even failure to operate normally. At this time, we need to clean the photoelectric head.

Common failures of Banner sensors
1. The problem of the sealing ring of the pressure sensor
The output of the pressurized transmitter does not change, and the output of the pressurized transmitter changes suddenly, and the zero position of the pressure relief transmitter cannot be returned, which is likely to be a problem with the sealing ring of the pressure sensor. It is common that due to the specification of the sealing ring, the sensor is tightened and tightened.
