The MDS-G4000 Series' compact size and combined with rail, wall-mounted, and rack-mounted* device options, the MDS-G4000 series can be sensitively deployed in harsh industrial environments such as narrow enclosures, underground, and outdoors.

The MDS-G4000 Series' no-stuff, hot-swappable module planning makes it easy for field personnel to add or replace modules without shutting down the switch. The series also features a highly durable die-cast housing, port combination, and increased flexibility to withstand impact forces up to 30G, ensuring stable operation in harsh environments. The MDS-G4000 series modular switches meet the stringent requirements of various industrial approvals for substation automation systems (IEC 61850-3*, IEEE 1613), trackside applications (EN 50121-4), oil and gas applications (ATEX*, C1D2*), and intelligent transportation systems (NEMA TS2). The MDS-G4000 Series combines multi-functionality with improved reliability to create a scalable path for round-the-clock reliability.

The MDS-G4000 switch is equipped with a user-friendly web interface that makes it easy to find the function of the switch and complete the configuration easily. The HTML5 interface allows you to have a high-quality user experience whether you are using a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. In addition, Moxa's MXview software makes it easy to monitor the operating conditions of these switches in real time. If a switch has a defect, MXview will immediately notify you of the defect and the location of the switch, so you can quickly and efficiently troubleshoot the switch.
