CC-Link is a fieldbus network that provides a simple interconnection between control devices (PLCs, computers, sensors, actuators, etc.).

CC-Link is an open communication specification developed to connect various field devices (sensors, actuators, Epson robot controllers, etc.). Thanks to this open communication specification, users of CC-Link can easily build a multi-vendor system using a wide range of devices developed around the world.

                               Advantages of Epson Robotics' open communication CC-Link

Reduction of wiring

Compared to parallel wiring, CC-Link uses a twisted-pair cable with three layers of shielding, which significantly reduces the number of necessary wires, wiring time, and cost.

Detachable communication connectors enable simple wiring between devices (nodes) and easy network separation or reconstruction.

Quick communication

Communication speeds range from 156k bps to 10M bps. The speed of 10Mbps is second only to PROFIBUS-DP in the field network.

Transmission control

The communication network consists of a master and a slave. Usually, the PLC will act as the master station. Up to 64 slaves can be connected to the master.

The slave station includes a long-distance equipment station (processing bit data and word data), a long-distance I/O station (processing bit data), and so on. The master stores information such as the type and address of the slaves in the network and controls the entire network.
