The customer's factory is located in a second-tier city, there are nearly 20 CNC machine tools in the factory, the production environment inside the workshop is relatively harsh, heavy oil pollution and the ground is easy to slip, full of more pungent smell and noise from the production equipment, the staff need to bear a lot of pressure from the working environment, so "difficult to recruit" has always been a problem for customers. During the Chinese New Year, the staff loss is serious, the "labor shortage" leads to the decline of factory production capacity, the extension of order delivery time, coupled with the disappearance of the demographic dividend, and the labor cost increases year by year.
Then, machine tool loading and unloading has become the first station that customers want to upgrade, but the customer site cannot use traditional industrial robot solutions due to factory layout, cost, safety and other issues, and then set its sights on collaborative robots. In the end, Elite Robot recommended the customer to use EC612 collaborative robot, with a load of 12kg, a working radius of 1304mm, a repeatability of ±0.03mm, and a male gripper at the end of the robot, which can take 4 bars at a time. Due to the surplus processing time of the machine tool, the EC612 collaborative robot was placed in the middle of the two equipment, and the left and right sides took turns to start loading and unloading the machine tool. The IP54 protection level of Elite robot has basically met the needs of working in the workshop, but in order to further reduce the impact of oil pollution, long-term and stable work in the workshop, or put on a set of protective clothing for the robot.
After on-site verification by customers, the output of processed material bars can reach 900+ per day, which is a full 20% increase compared with the original manual efficiency! In fact, cobots are not better at the beat, but at constant efficiency and continuous work. In this application, one person will have to take care of one machine during manual operation, which will generate a lot of idle time, and if one person takes care of two or more machines, it is necessary to go back and forth between the machines, which is a large labor load. Now, with the use of cobots, only one person is required to collect the materials manually. And when the product batch is switched on the production line, the customer can quickly call the pre-set program and fine-tune the point, and the robot can be quickly put into production, and the return on investment cycle is only 8-12 months.
