Types of cobot sensors:

1. Two-dimensional vision sensor

The two-dimensional vision sensor is mainly a camera, which can complete the detection and positioning of object movement, two-dimensional vision sensors have appeared for a long time, and many smart cameras can coordinate the action route of industrial robots and adjust the behavior of robots according to the information received.

2. Three-dimensional vision sensor

Recently, 3D vision sensors are gradually emerging, and 3D vision systems must have two cameras to shoot at different angles, so that the 3D model of the object can be detected and recognized. Compared with 2D vision systems, 3D sensors can show things more intuitively.

3. Force torque sensor

A force torque sensor is a sensor that allows the robot to know the force, which can monitor the force on the robot arm and guide the robot's next behavior based on data analysis.

4. Collision detection sensor

The biggest requirement of industrial robots, especially collaborative robots, is safety, and to create a safe working environment, it is necessary for robots to identify what is unsafe. The use of a collision sensor allows the robot to understand what it has touched and sends a signal to pause or stop the robot's movement.

5. Safety sensor

Unlike the collision detection sensor above, the use of safety sensors allows industrial robots to sense the presence of objects around them, and the presence of safety sensors avoids collisions between robots and other objects.

6. Other sensors

In addition to these, there are many other sensors, such as weld gap tracking sensors, which you need to have in order to do a good job of welding, as well as tactile sensors and so on. Sensors bring a variety of sensations to industrial robots, which help them become smarter and work more accurately.
