The interrupt function of Omron CP1 series PLC and the establishment of interrupt program

Since the main program of the PLC is the working mode of cyclic scanning, some more urgent special tasks (interrupt subroutines) that occur randomly must be executed immediately without being affected by the scanning cycle, and the CPU temporarily aborts the main program and executes interrupt subroutines, which is the interrupt function.

1. Omron CP1 series PLC interrupt classification:

1. I/O direct interrupt, which is the change of interrupt input from the built-in input unit on the CPU rack (0→1; 1→0).

2. Counting interrupt, the built-in input pulse of the CPU unit of the PLC is counted, and the interrupt is executed when the count reaches the set value.

3. Timing interrupt, the built-in timer of the CPU unit of the PLC is interrupted at a certain time interval.

4. High-speed counting interrupt, the built-in high-speed counter of the CPU unit of the PLC counts the input pulses, and the count reaches the set value, or the interrupt is executed by regional comparison.

5. When the CP1 series PLC is connected with CJ or other series of high-function I/O units or CPU high-function units, if the interrupt generated by these units is received, the CPU unit of the CP1 series PLC will immediately respond to the interrupt and execute the interrupt subroutine.

The order of priority of the five types of interrupts from highest to lowest is as follows: external interrupts> direct I/O interrupts> count interrupts> high-speed count interrupts> timed interrupts.

Within the same interrupt level, interrupt tasks with a small number take precedence over interrupt tasks with a large number.

2. Establishment of Interruption Procedures.

1. Open the Omron PLC programming software, right-click the mouse on the "New PLC1 [***] Offline" or "Program" item bar in the project tree, select "Insert Program" → "Ladder Diagram", and create a new program, as shown in the figure below.

　　2. In the program properties dialog box, set the name and select the task type of the program, as shown in the following figure. You can also right-click the program name in the project tree and select "Properties" to bring up the "Program Properties" dialog box to set it.

　　3. Write the program in the established interrupt program, and the programming method is the same as the main program.
