Ultra-thin, non-decoding 2D imager, SR (standard range) and HD (high density) optics, advanced laser and LED aimer The N670X Series 2D barcode scan engine is Honeywell's thinnest 2D imager. Designed to meet high-volume applications by improving performance and reliability, simplifying mobile device integration, and speeding up barcode scanning. Parallel or MIPI interfaces are available to help simplify integration into mobile devices that require interfaces to both the latest and legacy processors. The small size (6.8 mm [0.27 in] high x 16.2 mm [0.64 in] deep) frees up more space to integrate other technologies. The N670X series offers improved read range and readability. Based on a 1 Mpx global shutter sensor, it can read 39 20 mil barcodes (SR optics' typical read range) at a distance of 0.8 m [31.5 inches], a 40% wider read range than the previous generation. A white LED illumination system enhances image capture accuracy, while HD optics read higher resolution barcodes (down to 2.5 mils for Code 39 1D barcodes and 5 mils for Data Matrix and QR barcodes). The N670X is equipped with a high-density optical system that reads the newly introduced DotCode for traceable tobacco products with resolutions down to 5 mils. With a maximum motion tolerance of up to 6 m/s [236 in/s], the N670X series makes it easy to read moving barcodes for increased scanning speed and productivity. Choosing a high-brightness LED (2x brighter than the current system) and a laser aiming system can better meet the customer's application requirements and environment, while further improving the user's aimer visibility. Low typical power consumption (210 mA maximum at 3.6 V) extends battery life on a single charge. It is electrically backward compatible with Honeywell's N660X Series and N360X Series, all using the same connectors, reducing integration time, design cost, and increasing design flexibility and choice. All three series of scan engines are slim enough to fit into a compact enclosure, allowing you to provide your customers with two different levels of barcode scanning performance without the need to change enclosures or design accessories. The N670X helps enterprise-class mobile, tablet, SLED, and wearable manufacturers lead the way by exceeding industry standards for scanning performance, reliability, and integration flexibility. Based on Honeywell's latest decoding and imaging technologies, backed by an elite engineering team, it's ready to support your integration needs. With a feature height of 6.8 mm, the thin and light construction makes it easier to adapt to today's and tomorrow's compact devices. Wider operating temperature range expands the potential for applications. Two optics are available: SR optics can read UPC barcodes up to 573 mm (22.5 inches), HD optics can read DotCode, 2.5 mil C39, and 5 mil Data Matrix high-resolution barcodes. Motion tolerances of up to 6 m/s increase productivity. Reduce power consumption and extend battery life. Compatible with Honeywell's N660X Series and N360X Series reduces integration time and increases design flexibility. Parallel or MIPI interfaces are available to help simplify the integration process. Choose a high-brightness LED and laser aiming system to better meet application requirements while improving sight visibility.
