Low-cost, unipolar digital Hall-effect sensor integrated circuits. SOT-23 (SS340RT), low profile TO-92 style (SS440R) package. Digital current sink output
The SS340RT/SS440R sensor IC is a small, versatile, digital Hall-effect sensor that operates from a magnetic field provided by a permanent magnet or electromagnet. They respond to a single pole: North Pole (SS340RT) or South Pole (SS440R).
These unipolar Hall ICs are available with three different magnetic sensitivities to meet a variety of applications:
The SS341RT and SS441R provide the highest sensitivity, with a typical operating point of 75 G at 25°C [77°F].
The SS343RT and SS443R provide moderate sensitivity, with a typical operating point of 135 G at 25°C [77°F].
The SS349RT and SS449R provide the lowest sensitivity, with a typical operating point of 305 G at 25°C [77°F].
These sensors are available in two package types:
SS340RT: Micro SOT-23 surface-mount package.
SS440R: Pin Flat TO-92 Type Package Size.
The small size of SS340RT requires less space on the printed circuit board (PCB) and can be used in smaller assemblies. Its 3 Vdc capability can be used in low-voltage applications to achieve energy savings.
The SS340RT series is available on tape and reel (3000 per reel); The SS440R series is available in bulk (1000 pcs per bag).
