The SS39ET/SS49E/SS59ET series of economical linear Hall-effect sensor ICs are small, versatile components that operate from a magnetic field provided by a permanent magnet or electromagnet. The linear source output voltage is set by the supply voltage and will vary depending on the strength of the magnetic field. The lower voltage capability (as low as 2.7 Vdc) and the low current consumption of only 6 mA (typically at 5 Vdc) contribute to the energy savings of this product.
Integrated circuits are characterized by low noise outputs, which makes it unnecessary to use external filtering. It also contains thin-film resistors for greater temperature stability and accuracy. These products can be connected to many electrical components without buffering, and thermally balanced integrated circuits can provide stable operation over the full temperature range.
These products are designed and manufactured for cost competitiveness. All packages are available on tape and carrier for automated, cost-effective assembly lines. The small size of the SS39ET occupies less printed circuit board (PCB) space, often allowing the board to accommodate more components.
