This spring, the new crown epidemic rebounded in many provinces and cities across the country. The shelter hospital is a class of public buildings, and an automatic fire alarm system should be installed according to the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings (2018 Edition). The construction of conventional fire protection system requires the arrangement of a large number of cables, and there are requirements for construction and commissioning cycle, but the construction of shelter hospitals often requires a short period, and it is difficult to effectively supervise the fire protection equipment in real time in the later operation and maintenance management.
It takes about one month to complete the installation and commissioning of the fire protection system of 800 wards. The construction period of the mobile hospital project was short, and the installation of thousands of smoke detectors needed to be completed in one or two days. It takes 6 to 8 minutes to install a smoke detector in the normal process, and it takes 2-3 days to complete the data modeling after the installation is completed, which is difficult to meet the on-site requirements of the shelter hospital in terms of timeliness.

The front-end equipment of the smart fire protection system is mainly divided into five parts: intelligent fire alarm, intelligent fire water detection, fire equipment management, intelligent inspection, and video AI. As an important part of front-end equipment, the installation and commissioning of wireless smoke detectors have become the key to the implementation of the whole system because of their large number and important functions.
Technical points of wireless smoke detector system
The wireless smoke detector system is mainly used for on-site fire alarm detection and timely transmission of alarm signals to the software monitoring platform. At present, the wireless smoke alarm signal transmission method used in the engineering field on the market is mainly NB-IoT technology.
NB-IoT technology has been widely used around the world with four advantages:
Wide coverage, under the same frequency band, the ability to cover the area is improved by 100 times compared with the existing network
It has the ability to support connections, and one sector can support 100,000 connections, which is basically not limited by the number of connections
The power consumption is lower, and the standby time of the terminal module can be up to 10 years
Low module cost
The limitation of NB-IoT technology is that the module and the NB card are separated, it takes a certain amount of time to assemble, and the NB-IoT network needs to be covered on site, but most of the mobile hospitals are located in areas that have covered the NB-IoT network, and this type of equipment can be used independently and does not need to install a special gateway. Taking into account the requirements of the on-site owner, the inventory situation and the convenience of later use, the wireless smoke detector with NB-IoT technology is generally preferred.
Key points of construction of wireless smoke detector system
The wireless smoke alarm system greatly saves the installation and commissioning time through the methods of pre-coding of the IMEI code of the smoke detector, locking the installation position of the smoke detector in advance, and pre-installation and pre-commissioning of the wireless smoke detector NB and the battery. This was also verified by Honeywell's assistance in the construction of Wuhan Leishenshan Hospital two years ago.
After the installation of the wireless smoke detector equipment and the modeling of the platform, there are three steps that need to be paid attention to during the commissioning process:
On the platform, the smoke detector number that is not online will be recorded to solve the corresponding point fault.
Tested some of the smoke detectors that have been put online. The smoke detection test mainly includes smoke self-test and network detection.
Before delivery, the IMEI code of each smoke detector will be entered into the system, and after the on-site smoke detector debugging is completed, the smoke detector number will be statistically registered and removed from the system.
So far, the smoke detector fault has been basically eliminated and the debugging has been completed.

The operation and maintenance management of the smart fire cloud platform system can realize the display of all information on a unified platform, overcome the pain points of unclear operation status of fire protection facilities and equipment in traditional systems and independent operation of each system, realize paperless office, meet the rapid response in emergencies, and improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance management.
