When choosing a servo motor specification, follow the steps below.
(1) When the highest output power torque of the servo motor must be greater than the acceleration torque + load torque in the initial selection, other models must be selected for verification until the symbol meets the requirements.
(2) The load torque is calculated according to the load weight, structure, friction coefficient and operating efficiency.
(3) According to the requirements of the operating conditions, select the appropriate load inertia correction formula to calculate the load inertia of the mechanism.
(4) According to the load inertia and servo motor inertia, select the appropriate false servo motor specifications.
(5) Calculate continuous instantaneous torque based on load torque, acceleration torque, deceleration torque, and holding torque.
(6) The motion conditions of the load mechanism are defined, that is, the acceleration and deceleration speed, the movement speed, the weight of the mechanism, the motion of the mechanism, etc.
(7) Combined with the inertia and load inertia of the main servo motor, the acceleration torque and deceleration torque are calculated.
(8) Complete the selection.
