As the world's leading sugar producer and second largest sugar exporter, the local government of Thailand has proposed to strongly support the sugar pillar industry and encourage sugar mills to introduce new machinery, parts and skills upgrading and maintenance programs to increase local sugar production. Under this, the high-voltage inverter of sugarcane press proposed by Xinshida for Thailand sugar mills to replace the early DC speed regulation system has been successfully implemented in 2015.   In the centrifuge used for honey separation, because the moment of inertia of the centrifuge is relatively large, regenerative power will occur when decelerating, and the AFE variable frequency drive system can be used to feed back the excess electric energy to the power grid, and the front end of the AFE is equipped with an LCL filter and a pre-charging circuit.

AFE variable frequency drive system skill features

1. AFE selects controllable rectification technology, which can complete four-quadrant operation and feed back to the power grid with renewable energy;

2. AFE selects vector control skills to improve the control function and reduce the control harmonics;

3. AFE provides stable DC voltage for the inverter;

4. LCL filter is standard, which can further eliminate harmonics and prevent pollution of the power grid;

5. AS520 common GVC control skills, low speed and high torque, eliminate the difficulty of centrifuge starting;

6. Reduce the acceleration and deceleration time, complete the rapid start and stop of the centrifuge, and improve the production efficiency;

7. Directional torque compensation, which can effectively cope with sudden load and load starting.

The motor of the centrifuge load is mostly a special motor, especially the transformation of some old equipment, the site can not supply accurate motor parameters, the new Shida GVC control algorithm is not sensitive to the motor parameters, and the precise control of the motor can be completed by entering the motor power and voltage parameters. The maintenance of the centrifuge motor after damage is more troublesome, which requires the inverter to have a strong maintenance function for the motor, and the GVC control algorithm can choose to limit the maximum operating current of the motor to carry out accurate maintenance of the motor. The common GVC control algorithm of Xinshida can complete the control of asynchronous motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor.

The application of the AFE inverter drive system in the centrifuge of the sugar factory provides a new direction for the application of the centrifuge in the sugar factory, replacing the traditional drive method of energy consumption braking, which can complete the low-speed and high-torque load start, and the AFE energy feedback rejects energy waste and improves the efficiency of the system.
