1. Preparation

Next, prepare the required materials: network patch cords, label paper, various types of plastic cable ties (strangled dogs).

2. Organize the cabinet

Installing the Cabinet:

You need to do the following three things by yourself: first, use the screws and nuts of the random frame tape to tighten the fixing frame; Second, pull the cabinet down and put the movable wheels on; Thirdly, adjust and add baffles to the mounting frame according to the position of the equipment.

Organize the route:

Group network cables into groups, usually less than or equal to the number of cable management racks behind the cabinet. Tie the power cords of all the devices together, insert the plugs through the cable holes in the back, and look for the respective devices through a separate cable management rack.

Stationary Equipment:

Adjust the bezels in the cabinet to the appropriate position so that the administrator can see the operation of all devices without opening the cabinet door, and add the bezel as appropriate for the number and size of the equipment. Be careful to leave a certain amount of space between the baffles. Place all the switching equipment and routing equipment used in the cabinet according to the pre-drawn diagram.

Ethernet cable labeling:

After all the network cables are connected, you need to identify each network cable, wrap the prepared sticky notes around the network cables, and mark them with a pen (generally indicate the room number or what it is used for), and the signs are required to be simple and easy to understand. Crossover cables can be distinguished from regular Ethernet cables by using sticky notes of different colors. If there are too many devices, the devices are classified and numbered, and the devices are labeled.

3. Post-work

UMC Testing:

When it is confirmed, the power is turned on and the network connection test is carried out to ensure the normal operation of the user - this is the most important thing.

Documentation Updates:

Update the documentation of the contents of this cabinet arrangement. Redraw the equipment layout diagram and network cable connection diagram. The number of the equipment and the identification of the network cable should be indicated on the diagram for maintenance and reference.
