1. The CPU is abnormal
When an abnormal CPU alarm, check all devices connected to the internal bus of the CPU unit. The specific method is to replace the units that may cause failures in turn, find out the faulty units, and deal with them accordingly.
2. The memory is abnormal
If there is an alarm for an abnormal memory, if it is a problem with the program memory, the fault will be reproduced after reprogramming. In this case, it may be that the interference of noise causes a change in the program, otherwise the memory should be replaced.
3. The input/output unit is abnormal, and the expansion unit is abnormal
In the event of such an alarm, the plug-in status and cable connection status of the input/output unit and the expansion unit connector should be checked first, and the unit should be replaced after determining the unit where the fault occurred.
4. Do not execute the procedure
In general, it can be checked by following the steps of the input --- program to --- the output
(1) The input check is identified by the input LED indicator or by the input monitor consisting of a writer. When the input LED is not lit, it can be preliminarily determined that the external input system is faulty, and then check with the multimeter. If the output voltage is abnormal, it can be determined that the input unit is faulty. When the LED is on but the internal monitor is not displayed, it is considered to be a fault of the input unit, CPU unit, or expansion unit.
(2) The program execution check is through the monitor check on the writer. When the contact status of the ladder diagram does not match the result, it is a program error (e.g., double use of internal relays, etc.), or a malfunction in the calculation part.
(3) The output check can be identified by the output LED indicator. If the calculation result is correct but the output LED indicates an error, it can be considered as a fault of the CPU unit or 1/0 interface unit. When the output LED is bright but there is no output, it can be determined that the output unit is faulty, or the external load system is faulty.
In addition, due to the different PLC models, the connection methods of 1/0 and LED are different (some are connected to the interface of the 1/0 unit, and some are connected to the 1/0 unit). Therefore, there is also a difference in the range of faults judged by LEDs.
5. Some procedures are not executed
The inspection method is the same as in the previous paragraph
However, if the input time of the counter, step controller, etc. is too short, there will be a non-response failure, then the input time should be checked whether the input time is large enough, and the verification can be carried out according to the relationship between the input time < the maximum response time of the input unit + the arithmetic scan time multiplied by 2.
6. If the power supply is short-term power-off, the program content will also disappear

In order for the microprocessor to start up correctly, the PLC is equipped with a circuit for the initial reset point and a circuit for saving the program when the power supply is disconnected. (3) If there is still an abnormal battery alarm after replacing the battery, it can be determined that the leakage current of the memory or external circuit increases abnormally.
(4) The on/off of the power supply always occurs synchronously with the machine system, and the impact of the noise generated by the machine system can be checked. Because the disconnection of the power supply is often a fault that occurs at the same time as the operation of the machine system, most of it is caused by the strong noise generated by the motor or winding.
7. PROM cannot be operated
Check that the PROM is well inserted and then determine if the chip needs to be replaced
8. After the power supply is re-put in or reset, the action stops
This fault can be thought to be caused by noise interference or poor contact within the PLC. The cause of noise is generally caused by the reduction of the capacitance of the small capacitor or the poor performance of the components on the circuit board, and the cause of the poor contact can be checked by gently knocking on the PLC body. Also check the plugged in status of the cables and connectors.
