The AX3 is available in both standard and P2P versions up to 64 axes. In the case of Delta's AX308E model, the CPU has 16 DIs and 8 DOs built-in, and the EtherCAT real-time communication feature allows the host to quickly update and respond. It supports 8-axis motion control, and the minimum synchronization time can reach 1 ms; Built-in 2 sets of incremental encoders and 1 set of absolute encoders to ensure that the accuracy of motion control meets the needs; After Delta's optimization, the system can quickly identify the connection information of multiple brands of EtherCAT slaves, achieving a high degree of integration.

In the era of intelligent manufacturing, PLC not only has excellent performance, but also serves as an important data node in the industrial Internet, so communication ability is often the central requirement of modern PLC. In addition to supporting EtherCAT, the AX3 series also has two built-in Gigabit LANs, which support Modbus, EtherNet/IP and OPC UA communication protocols, and can be connected to HMI, HDMI LCD screens, MES, ERP, SCADA and other host computer equipment, handling the all-round needs of customers from single machinery to all automated production lines, and can meet the use of equipment automation transformation and upgrading faster. AX3 series mainframes use the new editing software DIADesigner+ as a project development tool. In addition, it supports the IEC61131 relevant motion function library, PLCopen MC specification function block and Delta DMC function module, which can provide users with high performance power and convenience.

With the acceleration of the intelligent production process, users have very high requirements for the continuous promotion of the system. The AX3 series supports all expansion modules (up to 32 units) of the high-performance general-purpose controller AS series, including various expansion modules such as digital I/O modules, analog modules, temperature modules, etc., as well as the OPC-UA protocol, and can also build more economical long-distance I/O through RTU-ECAT and DVP expansion, so that users can access the future Internet of Things without replacing the module when upgrading and transforming, and only need to replace the host, so as to achieve the intention of upgrading the entire production line.
