The principle of balance

The TA balancing concept is the concept of total equilibrium, which believes that only after the resistance of the system is adjusted and balanced, can each equipment obtain the design flow under the design operating conditions.

Feature description

Balancing valves are mainly used in central heating/cooling pipe systems. The balance adjustment of the whole system is carried out through the balancing valve, including: the balance of the control end, the balance of the riser and the balance of the main circuit, so that the system can reach the temperature set by the customer in a short time with less energy consumption, achieve comfortable climatic conditions and greatly reduce the energy consumption of the system.

These problems often occur because the wrong flow prevents the controller from working properly. The controller can only be effectively controlled when the designed flow rate flows through the equipment when it works under the designed conditions. The way to get the design flow is to balance the device. Balancing refers to the use of a balancing valve to regulate the flow rate. This must be done in 5 areas:

1. The production equipment must be balanced so that each boiler or freezer receives the design flow. In addition, in most cases, the flow of each device must be kept constant. Fluctuations in flow rate can reduce production efficiency, shorten the life of production equipment, and make it difficult to obtain effective control.

2. The distribution system must be balanced to ensure that all end devices can at least get the designed flow regardless of the total load of the equipment.

3. The control loop must be balanced to obtain suitable operating conditions for the control valve and to make the primary and secondary flow compatible.

4. Use the manual balancing valve to balance for detection

Most fluid circulation system anomalies and determining that the pump is oversized helps. The pump pressure can be adjusted to the correct value, which optimizes the cost of the pump.

Once the equipment is balanced, a central controller or optimizer can be used to make all rooms work in the same way. In addition, when the average room temperature deviates from the design value, it will be expensive and uncomfortable as described later due to the lack of equilibrium. Temperatures higher than the average of the device are also unbalanced.

However, it is important to consider the oversized size of the compensation pump. Balancing valves that are adjusted by the compensation method or the TA balancing method can indicate the degree to which the pump is oversized. Any case of excessive pressure is shown on the balancing valve close to the pump. Corrective measures can then be taken (e.g. reducing the pump speed or trimming the impeller). Balancing fluid circulation systems requires calibration tools, advanced procedures, and effective measuring devices. A manual balancing valve is designed to correct the flow of the product. It also allows flow to be measured for diagnostic purposes.
