1 Introduction

Case packer and sealer, as the name suggests, is to pack items in boxes and seal them. The packing and sealing machine mentioned in this article is mainly aimed at the tobacco industry, which automatically packs the cigarettes into the box and seals them regularly. The packing and sealing machine is a new generation of cigarette carton packing and sealing equipment independently developed on the basis of fully drawing on the advantages of existing similar products at home and abroad, with automatic carton supply system, vision system, etc., which can easily realize the interchange of large and small boxes.
2. Introduction to the process of packing and sealing machine
The cigarette box is sent to the carton automatic supply station through the AGV trolley, and the carton is put on the cigarette box meeting point through the operation of grabbing and lifting, and the box is opened through the two-axis interpolation and the box mouth is stretched open with a manipulator to wait for the cigarette to enter the box, and the other way is the cigarette is sent to the cigarette stacking place through the cigarette conveyor belt for stacking, and the cigarette is pushed into the box by pushing the stacking after being stacked into 5 stacks or 10 stacks. Finally, the cigarette box is transported out through the main push of the cigarette box, and the sealing and labeling are carried out in this process, and the process is shown in the following process flow chart.
In terms of electrical control, the form of centralized-decentralized control is adopted, the control of the logical relationship is completed by PLC, and the program of drive positioning and other aspects is completed by the Lenze servo controller 9400HighLine, so as to reduce the workload of programmers and improve the control accuracy and flexibility.
3 Lenze Solutions & Features
This solution uses Lenze drive products, including 9400HighLine series servo controllers, 8400StateLine inverters and MCS servo geared motors. Among them, the 9400HighLine servo controller has the characteristics of visual free programming, a variety of zero-seeking modes and speed and position mode switching, etc., and can adopt different functional modes according to different stations and motion characteristics. The 9400HighLine can also realize a variety of drive control schemes, which use the functions of 9400HighLine positioning, TP window, Cam, TP correction and so on according to the needs of the application.
The stacking mechanism is a cigarette sent by the input mechanism, which is sorted out and stacked according to the law of five layers and one stack, and is composed of three cam structures of lifting, opening and closing, and handover through the reducer in the mechanical structure, and its indirect work system requires fast speed, smooth start, and stable stop. This system adopts the Cam function of 9400HighLine, because this station is running in one direction, it will produce cumulative errors over time, so TP correction function is needed to eliminate the cumulative errors.
Lifting and horizontal handling use the Limit positioning function, the host computer only needs to send the position value of the controller and the start command to the 9400 HighLine, and the 9400 HighLine can run to the specified position independently, greatly reducing the programming task of the host computer.
The cigarette pushing mechanism is to push the cigarette into the carton, and the chain pulley mechanism is driven by the geared motor to complete the cigarette pushing action. The smoke pusher board consists of two parts: upper and lower. When pushing the cigarette, the upper and lower parts of the working surface are flat; On the return trip, the lower half is folded backwards. Ensure that the return trip does not take up the space required for the stacking of cigarettes to improve the efficiency of the machine.
The unpacking action is the key action of the whole system, it requires two motors to run a quarter arc in the form of interpolation, if the speed is too slow, the production efficiency is too low to lose the competitive advantage, if the speed is too fast, the box will be broken. The handling and unpacking diagram of the box is as follows, there is an axis in the tangential direction at the starting point and the end point in the unpacking process, which leads to the speed of the axis in the tangent direction at normal speed, which will theoretically reach infinity. In order to solve this problem, the scheme adopts a double-cam structure, and the X-axis follows the virtual spindle to run a fifth-order polynomial, so that it can run slowly at the beginning and end of the process, and fast in the middle, so as to ensure the running time and prevent the overshoot phenomenon. The Y-axis controller follows the X-axis and interpolates in a quarter-arc.
4 Lenze Program Highlights

3) A variety of communication interfaces can be selected, 8400 series inverter supports CAN, ProfiBus, EtherCAT, EtherNET and other communication protocols, with wide openness.
4) The 8400 series inverter is divided into three gears, which can basically cover all inverter applications. Customized development can be carried out according to the needs of customers, which saves customer costs.
