3) Tungsten argon arc welding (TIG)

Non-melting electrode gas arc welding, TIG welding, English is Tungsten Inert Gas (abbreviated TIG), also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (abbreviated GTAW)

The principle is that TIG welding is a method of melting and welding the base metal by generating an arc between the tungsten electrode and the base metal in an inert gas environment such as argon.

DC TIG welding

The DC arc welding power supply is used as the welding power source, and the electrode is negative and the base metal is the positive welding method, which is widely used in the welding of stainless steel, titanium, copper and copper alloy.

AC TIG welding

The AC arc welding power supply is used as the welding power source, and the positive and negative polarities of the electrode and base metal change each other. When the electrode is positive (EP polarity), the electrode consumes a lot of overheating, and the oxide layer on the surface of the base metal can be removed, which is the so-called cleaning effect. With this cleaning effect, it is widely used in aluminum, magnesium and other welding.

The principle is: a welding method that melts and joins the base metal by concentrating on the large current and applying pressure, and using the resistive heat at the joint of the welded material.
