47. There are very few drivers in Device Manager

(1) Whether to select "All Driver Installation" when configuring the software installation, if not, you need to reinstall the driver;

(2) If you do not find a supported driver in the device window of the configuration software, check whether the device supports the standard Modbus protocol, and if so, you can use the standard Modbus driver under the general device in MCGS;

(3) Contact the regional agent to customize the drive.

48. How many sub-devices can be added to the parent device of the universal serial port

The software itself is not limited, mainly limited by the system, for Windows, it is generally 255 serial ports; In the case of TPC, it depends on the number of hardware interfaces.

49. There is data for equipment commissioning, but there is no data on the engineering screen

(1) For a newly created project: A Check whether the maximum and minimum values are set in the data object attribute settings; B If there is no problem through the A check, it may be a problem with the driver, contact customer service;

(2) Originally, there was data display in the equipment debugging, and there was also data display in the engineering screen, but there was no data display after the change was made, so the customer was asked to add the driver again, use the count check, and then re-test.

50. Can the PLC and the module be connected to a serial port?

In principle, as long as the serial communication settings are the same, MCGS does not recommend this use, because there may be potential conflicts within the device protocol, such as the instruction to write to a certain register of the PLC, which may be mistaken for an operation on the module, which will lead to a device access conflict.

51. How to check the communication status of the device

Among all non-board devices (except for some customized devices) in MCGS, the first channel is the communication channel. That is to say, after entering the runtime environment and the device driver starts to work, the communication status of the device is returned in this channel, for example, 0 means that the device communicates normally, and non-0 means that it is abnormal. Note: When the host computer is running, do not open the device to debug and check the device status, which will cause abnormal communication.

52. What does a communication status of -8 mean?

Please check whether the added channel address is overrun, and the value of the problematic channel is -5.

53. Running the project prompts that the serial port initialization failed

(1) Check whether there is any other software on the TPC that has opened the serial port, causing the serial port to be occupied, if so, close the other serial port software first;

(2) A non-existent serial slogan is set in the parent device of the universal serial port.

54. The COM2 port of the TPC cannot communicate with the device

(1) Check the hardware wiring;

(2) Check whether the parameter settings of the parent device of the universal serial port are consistent with the communication parameters of the device;

(3) Whether the string slogan of the parent device of the general serial port is set to COM2 when downloading the project, if not, it needs to be corrected.

55. Data can be read but not written

(1) When adding a channel, whether to set the property of the channel to "read-only", if so, you cannot write the command to the channel;

(2) Check the PLC program to see if there are other operations on the channel address in the PLC program;

(3) If you still can't solve the problem, please call customer service.
