  Modern industrial control systems mostly use microcomputer or PLC control technology, and in the process of system design or transformation, we must pay attention to the interference of inverter to microcomputer control board. Because the microcomputer control board designed by the user is generally at a poor level of craftsmanship and does not meet EMC international standards, after use, the conducted and radiated interference generated will often lead to abnormal operation of the control system, so the following necessary measures need to be taken.

Good grounding. The grounding wire of the strong current control system such as the motor must be reliably grounded through the grounding busbar, and the shield of the microcomputer control panel should be grounded separately. In some cases where interference is severe, it is advisable to connect the sensor, the I/0 interface shield with the control panel of the control panel.

By inputting EMI filters, common-mode inductors, and high-frequency magnetic rings into the microcomputer control board, conducted interference can be effectively suppressed. In addition, in the case of serious radiation interference, such as GSM or PHS base stations around, a metal mesh shield can be added to the microcomputer control board for shielding treatment.

The installation of EMI filter at the input end of the inverter can effectively suppress the conduction interference of the inverter to the power grid, and the installation of input AC and DC reactors can improve the power factor, reduce harmonic pollution, and have a good comprehensive effect. In the case that the distance between some motors and inverters is more than 100 meters, it is necessary to add an AC output reactor on the inverter side to solve the leakage current protection caused by the output wire to the ground distribution parameters and reduce external radiation interference. An effective way to do this is to use a steel pipe threading or shield the cable and reliably connect the steel pipe housing or cable shield to the ground. It is worth noting that if a steel pipe or shielded cable is used without adding an AC output reactor, the distributed capacitance of the output to ground will increase, and it is easy to overcurrent. Of course, in practical applications, one or several of these methods are generally used.

Electrically shielded and isolated analog sensors detect input and analog control signals. During the design of a control system consisting of Vertiv drives, it is recommended not to use analog control as much as possible, especially when the control distance is greater than 1 m and installed across the control cabinet. Since the inverter usually has multiple speed settings, the switching frequency input and output can meet the requirements. If analogue control is not required, it is recommended to use shielded cables and achieve a remote ground on the sensor side or inverter side. If the interference is still severe, DC/DC isolation measures need to be implemented. You can use a standard DC/DC module, or you can use V/F conversion for optical isolation and then use the frequency to set the input method.
