A brief introduction to the Fanuc teaching pendant

The Fanuc Teach Pendant is an interface between the supervisor application tool software and the user (robot). The teach pendant is connected to the control cabinet by cable. We use the teach pendant for the robot jog feed, program creation, program test execution, operation execution, and attitude confirmation.

Teach pendant switch

The teach pendant has the following switches:

1. Effective switch of the teach pendant: put the teach pendant in an effective state. If the teach pendant is invalid, jog feed, program creation, and test execution cannot be performed.

2. Safety switch: three-position safety switch, press to the middle position to become effective. When active, the robot stops when you release your hand from the safety switch or when you hold it firmly.

3. Emergency stop button: The robot will stop regardless of the status of the effective switch of the teach pendant (for details on how to stop, please refer to "How to stop the robot" in "For safe use").

The teach pendant button consists of menu-related buttons, jog-related buttons, execution-related buttons, editing-related buttons, and other buttons

The function key (F) is used to select the function key menu at the bottom of the screen.

The NEXT key switches the function key menu to the next page.

Press the [MENU] button to display the screen menu.

The FCTN (auxiliary) key is used to display the secondary menu.

The SELECT button is used to display the program list screen.

The EDIT button is used to display the program's editing interface.

The DATA button is used to display the data screen.

The POSN (Position Display) key is used to display the current position screen.

When pressed individually, move the operaton screen.

With the SHIFT key pressed at the same time, split the screen (single, dual, triple).

If you press it individually, move to the alert screen.

When the SHIFT key is pressed at the same time, move to the alarm interface.

When pressed individually, follow the → of G1→G1S→G2→G2S... to switch groups and subgroups.

Press and hold the GROUP button and hold down the number of the group number you want to change to change to that group.
