Eaton Corporation today announced that its Aerospace Group will provide products and services for the electrical power distribution system of CityAirbus, the world's leading aircraft manufacturer's next-generation electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (e-VTOL). Eaton Aerospace's extensive experience in power management will help CityAirbus' electrical power distribution system be seamlessly integrated into Airbus' prototype architecture, ensuring the performance levels, reliability and safety of its aircraft.

Committed to developing cooperation in air traffic services
As the supplier of electrical power distribution systems for the next generation of CityAirbus, the Eaton team created a superior solution that delivers power from an Airbus-designed battery to eight motor drive units. The power distribution system ensures safe flight of e-VTOLs by compensating for in-flight battery performance degradation and failure in a timely manner. With extensive experience in the electrification of the aviation industry, Eaton Aerospace is working on the design, analysis and manufacture of power distribution units to fully integrate them into the electric propulsion system of the Airbus prototype.
