Before the asynchronous motor is equipped with an inverter, let's take a look at the three major types of mechanical equipment loads:

1. Constant torque load: such as conveyor belts and mixers; When the inverter drags a load of constant torque nature, the torque at low speed should be large enough and the overload capacity should be large enough. If stable operation at low speed is required, the asynchronous heat dissipation capacity of the motor should be considered to avoid the temperature rise of the motor too high.

2. Constant power load and fan: machine tool spindle and rolling mill, paper machine; If the constant torque of the motor is consistent with the constant power speed regulation range, that is, the so-called "matching" situation, the capacity of the motor and the capacity of the inverter are small.

3. Pump capacity: fan, water pump, oil pump. When the required air volume and flow rate are reduced, the use of inverter to regulate the wind power and flow rate through speed regulation can greatly save electricity.

Knowing the type of load, when selecting the inverter, it is necessary to choose according to the following points:

(1) The number of poles of the motor. Generally, the number of poles of the motor should not be less than 4 poles, otherwise the capacity of the inverter will be appropriately added.

(2) When selecting the inverter, the current value of the practical motor should be used as the basis for selection, and its rated power should be used as a reference.

(3) Each inverter manufacturer has fans, pumps and inverters, such as Siemens, ABB, Fuji, etc., to determine the specifications and models of the motor, you can fundamentally determine the specifications and models of the inverter (brand comparison).

(4) When the inverter drives the submersible pump motor, because the rated current of the submersible pump motor is greater than the rated current of the ordinary motor, the rated current amount of the inverter is greater than the rated current of the submersible pump motor.

(5) When the inverter controls the roots fan, because its starting current is very large, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the capacity of the inverter is large enough when selecting the inverter.

(6) If the long-line cable of the inverter is to be operated, measures should be taken at this time to press the impact of the long-line cable on the ground, so as to avoid the lack of output of the inverter. Therefore, the inverter should be expanded to a level, and the output reactor should be selected or installed at the output end of the inverter.

(7) When the inverter is used to control several motors connected in parallel, it is necessary to consider the cable length from the inverter to the motor and the capacity of the inverter within the simple range. If the specified value is exceeded, expand the first and second gears to select the inverter. In addition, in this case, the control method of the inverter can only be the V/F control method (fan, pump load), and the inverter can not maintain the overcurrent and overload maintenance of the motor, and the fuse needs to be added to each motor to achieve maintenance at this moment.

(8) When selecting the inverter, it is necessary to pay attention to whether its protection level matches the situation of the site. Otherwise, on-site dust, water vapor, etc. will affect the operation of the inverter.

(9) If it is used for vector closed-loop control, the inverter and the motor should be matched, not large or small, and the heavy-duty type can be selected for heavy load.
