When using stainless steel multistage pumps, it is first necessary to confirm the usefulness and functional parameters of the multistage pump and select the pump type. Criteria and basis for the selection of multistage pumps:

1. The type and function of the selected multistage pump meet the requirements of the process parameters such as flow, head, pressure, temperature, cavitation allowance and suction stroke.

2. The multistage pump must meet the requirements of the medium characteristics.

(1) For pumps transporting flammable, explosive, toxic or valuable media, it is required that the shaft seal is firm or a leakage-free pump is selected, such as a magnetic pump (no shaft seal, isolated magnetic direct drive is selected);

(2) For multistage pumps transporting corrosive media, convection parts are required to use corrosion-resistant materials, such as fluoroplastic corrosion-resistant pumps;

(3) For multistage pumps transporting medium containing solid particles, wear-resistant materials are required for convection parts, and clean liquid is used for shaft seals when necessary.

3. The mechanical aspect requires multistage pumps with high reliability, low noise and low vibration.

4. Correctly calculate the investment cost of multi-stage pump acquisition, including the acquisition cost and device protection cost.

Protection and maintenance of multistage pumps

(1) Check whether there is loosening in the multistage pump pipeline and joint. Roll the multistage pump by hand to see if the multistage pump is flexible.

(2) Lubricating the oil of the bearing in the bearing body, the oil level should be investigated at the center line of the oil standard, and the lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in time.

(3) Unscrew the diversion screw plug of the pump body of the multistage pump and pour the diversion water (or slurry).

(4) Close the gate valve of the outlet pipeline, the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum gauge.

(5) Jog the motor, try to see if the motor steering is correct.

(6) If the multi-stage pump has been out of use for a long time, it is necessary to disassemble all the pumps, wipe off the water, and coat the rolling parts and joints with grease and install them.

(7) Try to control the flow and head of the multistage pump within the range indicated on the sign, so as to ensure that the multistage pump works at the highest efficiency point to achieve the greatest energy-saving effect.

(8) In the working process of the multistage pump, the bearing temperature shall not exceed the ambient temperature of 35C, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 80C.

(9) If you find that the multistage pump has abnormal sound, you should stop immediately to check the reason.

(10) When the multistage pump is to be stopped, the gate valve and pressure gauge should be closed first, and then the motor should be stopped.

(11) The lubricating oil of the multistage pump shall be replaced after 100 hours within the first month of operation, and the oil shall be changed once every 500 hours thereafter.

(12) The multistage pump frequently adjusts the packing gland to ensure that the drip condition in the packing chamber is normal (it is advisable to leak out the droplet).

(13) Check the wear status of the multi-stage pump sleeve regularly, and replace it in time after the wear is large.

(14) When the multistage pump is used in the cold winter, after stopping, the lower part of the pump body needs to be unscrewed to release the medium. Avoid freezing and cracking.

(15) Start the motor, when the multi-stage pump works normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump to see that it shows the appropriate pressure, gradually open the gate valve, and check the motor load status at the same time.
