Advantech recently released two members of the AIW-200 family, the AIW-210 and AIW-211. These state-of-the-art GNSS wireless modules feature an industrial-grade, wide-temperature design to operate in harsh environments. In fact, these GNSS modules leverage Advantech's Industrial Wireless (AIW) support, as well as accurate positioning capabilities and reliable timing signals, to provide navigation capabilities for long-haul trucking, fleet management, and cold chain logistics, while being implemented in agricultural drones and heavy equipment.
Ultra-stable and reliable instrument-level GNSS positioning
The AIW-210/211 is a stand-alone GNSS module that leverages the u-blox NEO-M9N chipset to support 92 channels of meter-level GNSS positioning. These modules can acquire and track multiple satellites simultaneously – including GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and SBAS – with multiple sets of satellites – providing maximum location availability. Utilizing different satellites enables the receiver to select the best signal to maximize the positioning accuracy of the solution when used in challenging conditions. In addition, support for satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS) – such as WAAS, EGNOS, and MSAS – improves accuracy and usability.
Diverse and flexible multi-form factor design
AIW-211 is a stamp type with GNSS built into the platform to accommodate the use of small devices such as drones and AGVs. The AIW-211 supports industrial-grade operating temperatures (-40 - 85 °C) and advanced shock and vibration protection. In addition, it has full CE-RED certification for faster time-to-market when integrated into a wide range of land, air and offshore applications. The AIW-210 is an M.2 2242 B-key form factor that supports connectivity types across a wide range of platforms. Similarly, its M.2-type connectivity and USB 2.0 capabilities result in plug-and-play capabilities for easy customer integration.
