There are currently four types of actuators, which are capable of operating various types of valves with different driving forces.
1. Electric multi-reverse executive organization
Electrically driven multi-reversal executive organizations are one of the most commonly used and reliable types of executive organizations. A single-phase or three-phase motor is used to drive the gear or worm gear and worm to finally drive the stem nut, which causes the stem to move and turn the valve open or close.
The multi-reverse electric actuator is capable of quickly actuating large-scale valves. In order to protect the valve from damage, the limit switch of the device at the end of the valve stroke will block the motor power supply, together when the safety torque is exceeded, the torque sensing device will also block the motor power supply, the azimuth switch is used to indicate the switch state of the valve, and the handwheel organization of the device clutch equipment can manually operate the valve when the power supply is faulty.
The first advantage of this type of executive organization is that all the components are housed in a single housing, in which all the basic and advanced functions are integrated in this waterproof, dustproof and explosion-proof housing. The primary defect is that when the power supply fails, the valve can only be kept in place, as long as the backup power supply system is used, the valve can complete the fault safety all-round (fault open or fault off)
2. Electric SLR type executive organization
This kind of executive organization is similar to the electric multi-reverse executive organization, the main difference is that the final output of the executive organization is 1/4 of the 90-degree movement. The new generation of electric SLR actuators combines most of the cluttered functions of multi-inverted actuators, such as parameterization and diagnostics with a non-intrusive, user-friendly user interface.
The SLR actuator structure is compact and can be installed on small-scale valves, usually with an output torque of up to 800 kgm, and the power supply required is small, and they can be equipped with batteries to complete fault-safe operation.
3. Fluid-driven multi-reverse or linear output execution organization
This type of actuator is often used to operate straight-through valves (globe valves) and gate valves, which are operated pneumatically or hydraulicly. The structure is simple, the work is reliable, and it is very simple to complete the fault safety operation mode.
Typically, people use electric multi-reverse actuation to drive gate and shut-off valves, and only consider using hydraulic or pneumatic actuation when there is no power supply.
4. Fluid-driven SLR executive organization
Pneumatic and hydraulic SLR actuators are very versatile, they do not require a power supply, and they are simple in structure and reliable in performance. They are used in a wide range of applications. Usually the output ranges from a few kilograms of rice to tens of thousands of kilograms of rice. They use cylinders and transmission equipment to convert linear motion into right-angle output, and transmission equipment usually includes: fork, rack and pinion, lever. Racks and pinions output the same torque over the full stroke range, making them ideal for small-scale valves, and the fork has high efficiency and a high torque output at the beginning of the stroke, making them ideal for large-bore valves. Pneumatic actuators generally install accessories such as solenoid valves, positioners or azimuth switches to complete the control and monitoring of valves.
This type of executive organization is very simple to accomplish the faulty safe mode of operation.
