Under the high standards and strict requirements of food hygiene, the supporting pneumatic components must have high corrosion resistance to the cleaning liquid (such as hydrogen peroxide) of the equipment, the filled beverage, the impurities in the environment, and the ozone used for sterilization in the workshop. If it is used in the occasion of water droplet splashing, it is necessary to ensure the long life and clean design of the product, and it is easy to clean, easy to install and maintain.

1. Clean container solenoid valve

SMC cartridge solenoid valve JSY5000-H series, with clean design, can be directly flushed with cleaning liquid. The body rubber is made of EPDM and the spool rubber is made of HNBR, both of which have excellent ozone resistance and therefore have a longer service life in the ozone-sterilized workshop environment.

It uses IP69K-rated and FDA-compliant materials, has a flow rate of up to 1600 L/min (ANR) and a low power consumption of 0.1W*, and supports IO-Link-based IIoT for remote data and parameter transmission over a network.

2. Contribute to HACCP, FSSC22000 and other certifications

The Sterile Filter SFDA series is a filter element with hollow fibers with a filtration rating of up to 0.01 μm (99.99% capture efficiency) for the removal of bacteria in compressed air. (Bacteria Trapping Performance LRV*1≥9) The body is made of materials that comply with the FDA and Japan Food Sanitation Act*2 and is grease-free. Suitable for blowing directly into food.

3. EHEDG certified pneumatic joints

SMC introduces the EHEDG-certified pneumatic couplings KFG2H□-E series and complies with FDA and EU-1935/2004 standards. Applicable medium: water, steam and compressed air.

Polished stainless steel SUS316 for effective cleaning and prevents liquid build-up and dirt adhesion.

4. The material conforms to FDA certified suction cups and trachea

Globally, the food industry requires United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards for durable, harm-free materials. For this reason, SMC has developed and designed products that are suitable for this standard.

The ZP3P series is made of silicone material that complies with FDA 21 CFR § 177.2600 dissolution test and has a sealed skirt design that reduces leakage and provides the best sealing performance. It is very suitable for adsorption and handling of flexible film packaging workpieces.

In addition, the polyurethane hose TU-X214 series, which is made of materials in accordance with FDA and EU No. 10/2011 standards both inside and outside, can be used for a maximum pressure of 0.8 MPa (20 °C) and a temperature operating range of -20 - 60 °C (compressed air) or 0 - 40 °C (water - non-frozen).

5. Environment-resistant stainless steel design

The stainless steel cylinder CG5-X2977 series has a round appearance and is easy to clean. All exterior parts are made of stainless steel and resistant to acids, alkalis and aggressive cleaning agents, making it ideal for use in water droplet splash areas in the food and beverage industry.

ZH□□-X267 series is all made of stainless steel (equivalent to SUS304) without sealing materials, with a maximum operating temperature of 260°C and no grease.

2. Large-flow digital flow sensor

A PF3A series digital flow sensor detects a wide range of flow rates. Models with a 4-screen pressure/temperature sensor (modular type) can detect flow/pressure/temperature simultaneously, thus providing good visibility during operation.

2. Gas-saving powerful air gun

The IBG series is able to blow air instantaneously, reducing air consumption and working time. The high peak pressure and increased impact force make it possible to remove dust that is difficult to remove with conventional blowing methods in a short period of time.

3. Energy-saving speed control valve

Energy-saving speed control valve AS-R series (with pressure reduction function), AS-Q series (with rapid exhaust function).

The AS-R series is an integrated design of a speed regulator and a pressure reducing valve with reverse flow function, which is 85% smaller in size and has 7 levels of flow regulation. The AS-Q series is an integrated design of speed control valve and quick discharge valve, and also has 7 levels of flow regulation function. Mounted on the cylinder, it reduces air consumption by 30%.
