As one of the world's largest listed companies, Japan automation company SMC is listed in the Forbes Global 2000.

The influential Forbes 2000 list is based on a combination of weighted metrics such as revenue, profit, assets, and market value.

The 2017 list includes publicly traded companies from 58 countries with total revenues of $35.3 trillion, profits of $2.5 trillion, assets of $169.1 trillion, and a total market capitalization of $48.8 trillion. All four indicators are higher than the 2016 rankings, with a 10% increase in market capitalization compared to last year.
