How to choose a circuit breaker?

When the load is a motor, why must it be protected with a circuit breaker + solenoid switch?
That's because circuit breakers and solenoid switches have different roles.
The function of a circuit breaker is to protect against short circuits, while the role of an electromagnetic switch is to prevent overload and phase loss.
Therefore, in order to use the motor safely, both machines must be combined for protection.
Fuji Electric's "Manual Motor Starter" provides protection against overloads, phase loss, and short circuits at the same time with a single unit.
What is the difference between Economy and Performance?
The "economy" and "high-performance" models are the same in appearance and size, but the applicable voltage, open circuit capacity, and various certifications (GB standard, IEC certification, etc.) are different.
It varies depending on the customer, the device and the control. Please select according to the required specifications.

This is a test video of Fuji Electric at the proving ground, where we tried to apply a load of 40V/50kA above the rated 40V/50kA to a 240V/25kA circuit breaker.
Notice the main point of this animation: the stop position of the breaker lever circled in red.
When the correct product is selected, the handle is stopped in the trip position. After confirming that the circuit is abnormal, etc., it is turned on again, and the circuit breaker can be used correctly.
If the wrong product is selected, the switch lever will be in the closed position because the overcurrent cannot be cut off, and the circuit breaker may burn out or even be unusable. This may lead to accidents such as load failures connected to circuit breakers, equipment power outages, fires, etc.
