The HEL-700 series of thin-film platinum RTDs (Resistance Temperature Sensors) are designed to monitor critical temperatures in industrial applications. They provide a linear relationship between resistance and temperature, combining high linearity, stability, accuracy, and a wide temperature range into a small, fast-response package.
The HEL-700 series switches are designed for high-accuracy measurement of temperatures from -75°C to 540°C [-100°F to 1000°F]. These fully assembled components are ready for use in the probe assembly, eliminating the need for slim hinged wire extensions.
These products are produced by coating an alumina substrate with a thin layer of platinum and laser-tuning the resistance to a standard interchangeability of ±0.2% (accuracy up to ±0.5°C) or ±0.1% (accuracy to ±0.3°C). The sensor chip is then glass-smeared, wire-wound packaged, or ceramic-sintered to form a tubular alumina bushing with TFE Teflon® or fiberglass insulated leads.
