The SR16 series Hall-effect vane sensors are designed for position and velocity sensing and are available in three termination options. The cost-effective SR16 series sensors are tailored for information technology applications. These sensors are ideal for use in moderate electrical, chemical, and mechanical environments.
The SR16 series sensors include internal magnets and Hall-effect sensors and are housed in a two-tower configuration. In practice, a user-supplied ferromagnetic target passes through the tower gap, disturbing the magnetic field and changing the digital state of the sensor.
These rugged, solid-state Hall-effect sensors are encased in an environmentally sealed plastic package. This Hall-effect sensor provides highly accurate and repeatable performance in environments of dust, dirt, or stray infrared light that can affect the performance of optical solutions. The sensor package is made of a rugged polyphthalamide material that is mechanically interchangeable with standard optical sensors.
